Jesus Loves Me Mrs. Becky Miller (Director): Emmanuel Lutheran is pleased to welcome Mrs. Becky Miller as the new director of our preschool. Mrs. Miller has an Early Childhood Degree from Lorain County Community College (LCCC) and was the director and teacher for three years for a new preschool that had just started up at Hosanna Lutheran (Columbia Station). She has been involved in Vacation Bible School at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church in Elyria. Mrs. Miller is married and has three children of her own. Her continuing education includes classes in Communicable Disease Management, First Aid, CPR, and Child Abuse Prevention.

Mrs. Joan Brown (Teacher): Mrs. Joan Brown has been a frequent substitute teacher for Emmanuel Preschool since 1997. She began as a regular teacher in September 2007. She is married and has four grown children. She attended Ohio Wesleyan and helped develop Orange Cooperative Preschool in Orange, VA. Her continuing education include classes in Communicable Diseases, Child Abuse, First Aid and CPR. She is a member at Emmanuel, serves on the Education Ministry and has been a Stephen Minister Leader/Trainer.

Rules for Good ListeningMrs. Linda Spayd (Teacher): Mrs. Linda Spayd (pronounced SPADE) joined our preschool staff in August 2007 and will be teaching our two day classes for 4 & 5 year olds. She has worked as a preschool teacher for the past two years and also substituted as a kindergarten aide. Mrs. Spayd has a degree in Social Work from Ohio Northern University. She is married with 3 children. She and her husband are active members of First Lutheran Church in Lorain where they participate in a food distribution program, assist with a ministry of consolation, and facilitate a small home group. Mrs. Spayd has taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Her continuing education has included classes in Communicable Disease Management, First Aid, CPR, and Child Abuse Prevention.

WelcomeMrs. Kim Renuart (Aide): Mrs. Kim Renuart has been a substitute teacher for Emmanuel Preschool since 1999. In 2010 she become our classroom aide who is there each day. She is married and has three grown children. In the past she taught P.S.R. class and was a youth group leader at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Grafton. Her continuing education includes First Aid, Communicable Disease Management, CPR, and Child Abuse Recognition and Prevention.

Mrs. Staci Larkin (Teacher): Mrs. Staci Larkin is a faithful member at Emmanuel who has helped with Vacation Bible School and who has taken coursework at Lorain County Community College (LCCC) in child psychology and sociology. She worked for the North Ridgeville School system from 2006–2011. She is married to a North Ridgeville police officer and has three young daughters. She began as a teacher for the four-day class of 4 & 5 year olds in August, 2011.
